Become an Accredited Collaborative Professional

Demonstrate your training, experience, and commitment to high standards in Collaborative Practice.

Why Become Accredited?

FCD Accreditation recognizes professionals who have completed advanced Collaborative training, developed meaningful experience, and demonstrated a commitment to high standards of practice.

Accreditation is available to FACP members who meet the licensing, education, training, and Collaborative experience standards for their profession.

Accreditation can help you:

  • Build credibility with clients and professional colleagues.
  • Stand out as a trained and experienced Collaborative professional.
  • Strengthen your practice through continued education and interdisciplinary work.
  • Build referral relationships within Florida’s Collaborative community.
  • Support the growth of Collaborative Practice throughout the state.

How Accreditation Works

  1. Confirm your licensing requirements: Make sure all required professional licenses are current.
  2. Complete the required training and education: Review the standards for your profession and confirm that you have completed the required Collaborative training and advanced education.
  3. Gather references and documentation: Prepare the required references and documentation of completed Collaborative matters.
  4. Submit your application and fee: Complete the appropriate application, submit the required supporting documents, and pay the application fee.

The Process Step by Step

Once your application is submitted, the FCD administrator will review it for completeness and request the required references. If information is missing, you will be contacted before the application is submitted to the Credentialing Committee. Completed applications are reviewed confidentially.

The reviewing team may:

  • Approve the application
  • Request additional documentation
  • Refer the application to a new reviewing team for a second review
  • Deny the application

Approved applicants are then submitted to the Board of Directors for final approval. The review process remains confidential, with application information shared only with the reviewing team.
Applicants are notified directly after the Board takes action.

Questions about the application process may be directed to the FCD administrator at FloridaCollaborativeDivorce@gmail.com.

Standards

Complete applications with the required fee are reviewed in the order received. The Board of Directors approves applications monthly.
